December Cruise
From 6 to 13 December, students from grades 2 and 3 of Polish and international classes had the opportunity to take part in a training cruise on the sailing ship ‘Pogoria’ in the Mediterranean Sea.
The voyage began and ended in Imperia, Italy. Along the way, the sailing ship called at the ports of Saint-Tropez in France and Calvi in Corsica.
Although the Mediterranean Sea is often hit by strong winds and storms in December, there was almost no wind during this voyage.
Despite the unfavourable conditions for sailing, the participants were able to fully experience both the charms and hardships of life at sea. They took an active part in all deck duties, such as navigation, bosun’s work and meal preparation, and enjoyed the beautiful views in their free time.
