YouthCup 2024
Students from classes DP1 (Tomek R., Jakub R., Ksawery L., Mikołaj M., Stanisław D., Jan C.)
organized the largest football tournament for Warsaw high school students – YouthCup 2024. On June 4-6, on the pitches of the Hutnik stadium – one of the most modern football facilities in Warsaw, competitions were held with the participation of 12 teams (over 240 people) from all over Warsaw. The 2 SLO team reached the quarterfinals.
YouthCup 2024 is another action, after the PO-MOC project, undertaken to support the mental health of children and youth. The organizers are convinced that a healthy body can sustain a healthy mind!
The event was co-organized by the Legia Warszawa Foundation and Raszyńska IB, and the honorary patronage was held by the Marshal of the Masovian Voivodeship. The tournament was broadcast live on YouTube. The matches were refereed by professionals with access to VAR. Within two weeks, videos about the tournament collected over 125,000 views on Instagram. The total prize pool was over PLN 2,000.
