CanSat Runners-up and a 3D Printer!
The Shooting Star team, last year’s runners-up in the CanSat competition, decided to do something special for the entire school community.
After a year of hard work on the project and a successful launch campaign, DP1 students Witold, Michał, Piotr, Edward, Michał, and Matsvei had some funds left over, which they decided to use to co-finance the purchase of a 3D printer for their school in Solec.
The Bambu Lab X1-Carbon printer will students’ disposal to print 3D models used in chemistry, biology, and physics classes, as well as by future 2SLO teams participating in the CanSat competition. Printing the mini-satellite casing, a task that has caused many problems for teams in previous years, will now be much easier.
The decision of the runners-up is an exemplary example of pro-social attitude and entrepreneurial thinking.
Congratulations and warm thanks for this valuable initiative to the participants of the CanSat competition.
