BIMUN 2026
From April 15–21, 12 students from the Polish school and its international branches, accompanied by Marta Wierzbicka-Kotte and Lidia Ślubowska-Kośnik, traveled to Budapest to participate in the BIMUN conference, which focused on the armed conflicts in South Sudan and Boko Haram. Once again, students from 2 SLO had the opportunity to hone their debating skills within the multicultural community of the Model United Nations. Three delegates from 2 SLO received honorable mentions.
In their free time, everyone went for a walk around Budapest to admire the Danube, the Parliament building, and the city’s architectural diversity. Marta Kotte introduced the students to the distinctive features of buildings from different eras. The trip participants also sampled authentic Hungarian cuisine, such as yeast-based flatbreads called langos and kolache.
The students returned satisfied and enriched by the experience of debating, which is why they highly recommend that future students participate in upcoming conferences.
