Be Happy at School
On September 11, the Principal Anna Sobala-Zbroszczyk and the Coordinator Tomasz Mazur inaugurated the new school year. At the beginning, they assured students that they would cope with the challenges and that they would have an influence on the shape of the school, which is changing along with them. They drew attention to the foundation of building a good school, which is both intellectual development and everyone’s involvement in creating a good atmosphere. Building satisfying relationships will not happen spontaneously, but requires an active empathetic attitude, mutual openness to understanding and acceptance of diversity. Next, they shared information about numbers that are important from the point of view of the school community. Approximately 93% of students achieved results higher than the average diploma score and all passed the final examinations. In addition, they reminded you about the importance of rest, especially the appropriate amount of sleep, and about your own passions and interests, which are as important as learning.
To sum up they quoted after Zeno of Citium: “it is not greatness that proves perfection, but perfection proves greatness.”
Finally, DP students encouraged students to apply for the JASMUN conference, which this year’s edition takes place on September 14-17.
