Philosophy

IBDP philosophy course focuses on diverse philosophical problems from the field of ontology, anthropology, ethics, aesthetics, and epistemology. The core theme – being human – introduces very important and highly engaging philosophical questions, e.g. what the basis of personal identity are, and how to define the dual relation between mind and body. During classes the students discuss classical and less obvious texts. The course is conducted on two levels – standard and higher, from 4 to 6 hours per week respectively. Philosophical texts, achievements, works, enlightenments, ideas, discoveries, reflections and various creations of 2nd SLO students are published in our annual review “Filozoficznik”.
