English and French teacher
In addition to my main interest in applied linguistics (translation and interpreting studies, bilingual education, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, pragmatics), I revel in many other areas of life and science: literature, art, rhetoric, cross-cultural and political communication, architecture, psychology, swimming, athletics, cooking, socialising and travel. I have a PhD cum laude in Theoretical, Descriptive and Computational Linguistics from Université Paris Diderot Paris 7 and in General Linguistics from the University of Warsaw. Having studied at the Institute of Applied Linguistics (University of Warsaw) and at the Institut Supérieur de Traducteurs et Interprètes (Haute École de Bruxelles), I did an MA, specialising in conference interpreting as well as in teaching French and English to speakers of other languages. I have been working in the IBDP since 2008.
